The large, handsome, Velvet Roast beans (Panache's lightest dark roast) brew a rich cup that is delightfully smooth and sweet, offering a syrupy rich flavor with just enough acidity to give it balance and poise. The organic coffee beans are grown at over 3,500 feet in elevation, in the lush highland area of Takengon in the Aceh Province in northern Sumatra, Indonesian Islands, by a co-op of over 450 family farmers from five villages. For every pound purchased, a portion of the proceeds goes to Coffee Kids, an international organization that assists coffee growing families worldwide.
