Grown in the Toraja region on the island of Sulawesi which lies in the middle of the Indonesian islands, northeast of Bali, many people still refer to this coffee as Celebes (as was known in the Dutch colonial days). Sulawesi has long been known for producing superior coffees because of it's microclimate, dramatic volcanic mountains that rise sharply from the tropical seas and high river valleys that make perfect growing conditions for fine arabica beans. This smooth, full bodied coffee has a mild, earthy taste and a hint of sweetness. This coffee is much prized(especially in Japan) for its richness and full body.
